The Táin Festival has been running in Dundalk since 2002 and over the past five years it has gained a reputation for showcasing the best in eclectic music from the national and international scenes. as well as the finest local talent.
Devised and delivered by the same team that have made the Spirit Store on Georges Quay the nationally acclaimed music venue, Turner & Dearey Promotions have created an annual festival that caters for all music tastes, attracting artists as diverse as the world renowned Harlem Gospel Choir, Sharon Shannon, David Kitt, The Saw Doctors and Duke Special.
This year will be no different as we welcome Cathy Davey, Dave Geraghty, PJ Gallagher, Martin Stephenson, Fight Like Apes, Jinx Lennon featuring Miss Paula Flynn, Chris Pontius, Warlords Of Pez and many more acts to Dundalk's most exciting weekend of the year.
Oxjam is about making music to raise money and awareness to tackle poverty all over the world. Supporting Oxfam helps people to earn a living; to get an education; to have access to healthcare and fresh water; and to grow more food. Oxfam Dundalk are looking for local musicians to come out in the centre of town from midday on Saturday 27th to make music for a good cause.
